Enhancing Your Smile

There are many ways to make your smile more attractive including bleaching, tooth veneers, esthetic crowns and such.

Here I will be talking about Minor Tooth Movement to make your crooked or misaligned teeth look better. Many people have teeth that are not in the ideal position due to many reasons. Some are:

  • Diastemas or spaces between the teeth
  • midline discrepancies where the upper and lower anterior midline do not match up
  • teeth that are too crowded which could have been there before or just occurred as we age
  • teeth that are too far out or too far in and just do not line up
  • trauma which has moved teeth

In the past we have employed wire braces to move these teeth back into an ideal position. Due to advancements in computer design and materials we now have a way to move teeth without braces.

Here at the office we utilize a procedure called MTM Aligners. We are certified in this treatment and can show you how well the process works.

We take extremely accurate impressions and photos and use this information to develop a series of clear trays that accurately move the teeth little by little into correct position.

We have picked this technique to specialize in for several reasons

  • improved effectiveness of tooth movement
  • improved predictability
  • bonded attachments to the teeth are eliminated
  • improved esthetics
  • improved comfort
  • It is great for moving teeth into position prior to esthetic crown placement

The process takes several months to complete and each patient's case is treated individually for the best result in the least amount of time. The results are truly amazing.

The clear trays are worn 24/7 except for when brushing your teeth or eating. We also include the retainers you will wear nightly after your teeth are in an ideal position.
